Worth the money to not be stressed

I have a graveyard of half-finished projects in my garage. I almost added a Gameboy teardown to the pile, but decided to just buy from Iconic Tech Studio instead. Best decision. The presentation is incredible, especially the way they mount the buttons and the conductive rubber pads so they 'float' perfectly. That is something I absolutely would have messed up with superglue. It would have taken me 10+ hours to source, clean, design, print, and assemble this to this standard. If you want it to look professional rather than 'homemade,' just buy it. Iconic reached out to me based on my reddit post and offered me a special on top of the New Years discount which sealed the deal for me.

The perfect gift

My husband is impossible to shop for because he buys everything he wants. He's a huge retro gaming nerd, so I took a chance on this frame. He was absolutely floored. The packaging was surprisingly premium (matte black box, well padded), so it felt expensive before he even opened it. He spent 20 minutes just pointing at the different chips and explaining what they did. If you have a geek in your life, this is a winner.

Don't try making it yourself

I saw a TikTok on how to make these and thought, 'I can save $100 doing this myself.' Huge mistake. I spent weeks sourcing a junk Gameboy on eBay, then stripped two screw heads trying to take it apart. Then I realized I didn't know how to clean the battery corrosion off the motherboard without damaging it. By the time I factored in the cost of the shadowbox, the special tri-wing screwdrivers, the glue, and the printable template (which I couldn't get to print at the right scale), I had spent nearly as much as Iconic charges and had nothing to show for it. Iconic Tech Studio's frame arrived perfect, clean, and zero stress. Save your weekends and let the pros handle it.

Exactly what I wanted

The layout is super clean, and I love that they included the original button membranes. It's not just a poster; it's the actual hardware - you can tell by the usage shown on the side of the case. Nice frame

A Retro Statement Piece

I've been moving away from 'tech-heavy' decor and towards things with a bit of soul. This frame for an Atomic Purple GBC like I used to have is exactly what my bookshelf needed. What is the return policy?

All of our items are custom made and fabricated uniquely. None of our products are factory produced. Therefore, we are unable to accept returns unless they are due to fabrication issues.
Why are some colors priced differently?

Our product pricing strategy reflects the costs involved in obtaining the products we use to upcycle into frames. Certain sizes and colors are harder to find in good condition and therefore have additional cost to procure. We do our best to limit these variations wherever possible.

When will I get my order?

Once you place your order, we begin the fabrication process of building your custom frame.  This process typically takes 7-10 business days.  We will then do a secondary Quality Check and get your item boxed up for shipping.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. Delivery times vary depending on your location and delivery choice at checkout.

Our products are manufactured in the USA at our Studio. We do not outsource our manufacturing.
